ABOUT US

The blog's contributors operate Medical Accounts Systems (MAS), an agency that provides accounts receivable solutions to acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, outpatient and surgical centers, physician practice groups, and other healthcare providers.

MAS has a division that exclusively pursues payment from Managed Care Organizations, Medicare, and Medicaid. It provides solutions for the following commonly encountered healthcare reimbursement issues, among others:

denials for lack of authorization
denials based on lack of medical necessity
contractual carve-outs
underpayments under non-participating provider statutes
